How long does it take to get my money?
We have two options, depending on how soon you need your money and how much you want to make from the sale of your vehicle:

FASTCASH: After appraising your vehicle and determining its fair-market-value, Carsignment cuts you a check the same day. No wait, no worry.

MAXCASH: Carsignment typically averages well above trade-in value on the vehicles we sell in auction format. If you choose to have your vehicle sold in this format, you can typically expect a much higher amount than with the FASTCASH option, and your check will be available once the auction has ended (about 10 business days).

How much money will I get for my car?
There is no easy answer to this question, other than this: More than dealer trade-in. First we must appraise your vehicle. Once we appraise your vehicle, we examine actual vehicle sales of similar makes and models that have sold within the last 30 days. This will give you a good idea as to what your vehicle will sell for. You will always have a fairly accurate idea of your vehicle’s value before you list your vehicle with Carsignment.

Is that amount guaranteed and can I set a price for my vehicle?
While we can’t guarantee a vehicle value, we can give you a fairly accurate idea of what we will be able to sell it for. If, however, you must get a certain amount out of a vehicle, we can list your auction in a “reserve” format, meaning your vehicle will not sell for anything less than the agreed upon reserve price. This does not necessarily guarantee your vehicle will sell. For more information on reserve auctions, see the section of the FAQ with reserve auctions.

What type of vehicles can you sell?
The simple answer is any type of motorized transportation, including cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs, jet-skis, ATVs, etc.

What if my vehicle is wrecked?
No problem, we can sell those too. Remember: any make, any model, any condition!

What if my vehicle is old, ugly, or has excessive mileage?
No problem! We can sell the ugliest, oldest, and most worn-out vehicles on the planet. We market your vehicle to a qualified, motivated group of buyers on the largest car lot in the world!

What if my vehicle has mechanical issues?
We must disclose any existing mechanical issues, but we can sell any vehicle in any condition.

Can you sell a salvage title vehicle?
We must disclose salvage title vehicles, but we can sell it.

What if I still owe on my vehicle?
We will work with your financial institution to expedite the sale of your vehicle, pay off your loan, process the paperwork, and cut you a check for the difference.

What if I owe more on my vehicle than what its worth?
In this case, we can still sell your vehicle, but you will be responsible for the difference in what is owed and what the vehicle sells for. We do require a credit card number for security on these transactions.

Will I have to deal with or bargain with the buyer?
No, we will answer all the questions, e-mails, and phone calls we receive on your vehicle. We will even meet with the buyer once the vehicle sells to collect the payment and process the paperwork. You need not worry about haggling or bargaining with the buyer at any time.

Is Carsignment better than trading in?
Simply put, yes. At Carsignment we average much more per vehicle transaction than a dealer would be willing to give you for your vehicle. We understand that dealerships are in the business of making money and so should you! List your car with Carsignment to maximize the value of your car!

Plus, Carsignment can help you make an informed decision on the vehicle you are getting ready to buy. Not only do we provide you with the trade-in value of your current vehicle, we also provide you with a custom appraisal on the vehicle you wish to purchase. Best of all, there are no charges for your custom appraisals!

Why is Carsignment better than selling my vehicle myself?
Carsignment can guarantee your vehicle will sell within 10 business days! You can easily spend hundreds of dollars by listing your vehicle with the local paper and it may take countless hours of your day negotiating on the price of your vehicle.

How much does it cost?
Our fee is based on the year, make, model and condition of your vehicle. You will be quoted the EXACT fee you will be charged before you sell your vehicle to Carsignment, so there will not be any surprises. Carsignment deducts the fee from the final value of your vehicle sale, so there is no money out of your pocket!

What is the difference between “Reserve” and “No-Reserve” Auctions?
In a “reserve” auction you are guaranteed no less than the “reserve” price set for your vehicle. A “no reserve” auction means that the vehicle will sell for the ending price of the auction, no matter what. “No reserve” auctions traditionally gain higher value and more bidding.

Will I be held liable for anything?
You, as the seller, won’t be held liable for anything unless there is purposeful misrepresentation of the vehicle being sold. Carsignment assumes all liability during and after the sale of your vehicle.

How does the buyer get the vehicle? Do I have to deliver it?
You don’t have to make any special arrangements! The buyer is always responsible for picking up or arranging for delivery of the vehicle once it is sold.

Can I drive my vehicle while it is being sold?
Yes! You have the option of driving the vehicle during the sales process or having Carsignment store the vehicle for you.
